Program description
This summer school will equip students with up-to-date expertise in recycling, including recycling methods, waste sorting and classification, polymer waste, microplastics, and much more. They will learn to estimate the benefits and drawbacks of different recycling methods, work with polymers and polymer waste, and learn from the experiences of different countries. In addition, they will get to discuss relevant issues in the field with ITMO professors and experts, as well as have the chance to consult them on their own research.

A scanned copy of the identity document is required for the following purposes:
a. To check if the student is underage. In case the student is under 18 years old, we will require an ID of their legal representative.

Some summer schools at ITMO are offered for free. Unfortunately, there are no discounts or waivers for fee-based schools.
All ITMO schools are held on campus by default. Some may also be conducted online. Visit a school’s page for additional information.
Unfortunately, ITMO Dormitories are not available for the summer and winter breaks, therefore, summer and winter school students are offered to stay in our partner accommodations:

Yes, once the school fees are paid, you will receive your visa invitation letter if your studies are held on campus. The visa invitation letter is granted for the period of 3 days before and 3 days after the school’s official dates.
We organize a cultural event every weekend during summer and winter schools. You will experience the Russian Cooking Workshop, visit the Hermitage, enjoy a guided tour around the best St. Petersburg sites, and participate in an entertaining quest in the historical center of the city.
